Congregational Care Pastor

Hometown:  I was born in Salina, Kansas, but didn’t stay long!  My dad was in the Air Force so we lived in eight (8) different states while I was growing up.

Family Info:  I am married to Richard Smith, retired high school teacher.  We have two granddaughters, six nieces and three grand nieces!  We are blessed to have both of our mothers still living and our siblings.

When did you join the staff of Aldersgate?  August 2023

What did you do before joining Aldersgate? I was an elementary school teacher for 20 years and a staff staffer for the Florida Education Association for the next 19 years.

What do you do for fun? Travel!  I have visited 56 countries on seven continents.  My husband and I also love to visit national parks (45 so far) and have visited all 50 states.  I love to take photos and do scrapbooking with friends.

Favorite books?  Every book by Pastor Adam Hamilton.

Who has influenced you the most in ministry/life?  As a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for almost 20 years, many people have influenced my faith walk.  Pastor David Gill has had the most influence on me on how to live out my pastoral call.
