Your Visit

I am thrilled you are considering attending worship with us at Aldersgate! I can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to Aldersgate. Please come and introduce yourself to me, I will be the guy with the yellow lab service dog. A personal note: I am deaf, so if I do not make eye contact or read your lips, I may not be aware you are speaking to me. ~ Dr. Ben (Senior Pastor)

  1. Service descriptions
    1. 9:00 service is Traditional in style. Which means we worship using the traditional creeds for affirmations of faith, hymns of the faith, and have a choir leading us in worship. This service lasts about an hour and is held in the Sanctuary.
    2. 10:30 service is more Contemporary in style. Which means we worship using a band with more modern music (primarily music from the last 10-15 years). This service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes and is held in the Worship Center in the Family Life Center.
  2. Parking and location information
    1. There is limited parking located in the front along Starkey Road, however, more parking is available around back, you get there by turning down 94th Avenue and entering either one of the two entrances on the right (North) side of the street.
  3. Children’s Activities
    1. Children’s Ministries happens twice a week.
      1. Sunday Mornings during the second service in KidsCity, located in the Family Life Center.
      2. Wednesday Evenings from 6-7:30 PM in the Worship Center of the Family Life Center.
      3. A nursery is available during both services for children under 5.
    2. Check-in procedures
      1. Children are checked in at the door of KidsCity. The children are given a sticker that identifies them to our staff and is used for dismissal by matching the code on a separate sticker given to the adult at check-in.
  4. Youth Activities
    1. Middle and High School Youth meet on Wednesday nights 6-7:30 PM in the Youth Hall located in the Education Wing.
  5. How to dress
    1. For the traditional service, there is a mixture of attire each week. Anything from slacks and polo shirts to suits and ties for the men and a blouse and pants to dresses for the women. Come as you are comfortable is typically acceptable.
    2. For the contemporary service, the majority of the people come dressed casually. This service is authentically “Come as you are” type of atmosphere.
