Lisa Sebastian has been the Youth Pastor at Aldersgate since 1999. Currently she is our Middle School Youth Pastor and the Family Pastor. She graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky with a degree in Christian Ministries with an emphasis on Youth Ministry. Lisa was born on a farm in Michigan and lived in Illinois for a short time before moving to Dunedin with her family when she was 11 years old. Lisa's early Christian development was in the Christian Reformed Church. She became a Methodist during her elementary school years. Lisa provides ministry to all youth from 6th grade through high school. Her mission is to assist parents in helping their children strengthen their faith and relationship with Christ and to introduce youth of the community to Christ. Lisa married her high school sweetheart, Nick, in 1999. They have a son and a daughter.
John Shockey - John Shockey has returned as choir director after a four year “retirement”. He has taught school for 30 years, and directed choirs for 17 years. He has a beautiful wife, Karen, also a teacher, and three children. Barbara is married and teaches in Pinellas County. Benjamin is a senior at Warner Southern College, and Daniel is in the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. Lou Ann Lee has worked with the Aldersgate Christian Learning Center since 1989, and has been the director since 1996. Her family joined Aldersgate 25 years ago. Lou Ann is married to Terry and they have two adult children. As Director of the Preschool, Lou Ann strives to establish a firm foundation in the lives of the children she comes in contact with, just as she and her husband worked to build that foundation for their own children. The staff of the school is like a family, and shares Jesus with the children and the parents of the children. Everyone is committed to run a good school. Aldersgate Christian Learning Center is considered one of the top preschools in Pinellas County. The school is a member of the United Methodist Association of Preschools (UMAP) and routinely passes inspections from all local boards. Aldersgate Christian Learning Center has earned their 'Gold Seal' acrediation. Lou Ann says she feels God has blessed her by placing her in her job. She loves coming to her church to work every day. Tammy McDaniel is the volunteer web administrator for Aldersgate. Any information pertaining to the church's web site should be directed to Tammy. You may contact her through email by clicking here. If you would like to add something to the church calendar, please email Deb Johnson or call the church office. Bill Weaver has been a part of the Aldersgate family since he was 2 years old in 1983. He was born and raised here in the Seminole area and went to high school at Pinellas Park High where he graduated in 1999. He went on to Asbury College where he graduated in 2004 with a degree in Bible and Theology. He spent the year of 2004-2005 in North Carolina, just outside of Winston-Salem, as a Youth Pastor at Union Cross Friends Church. Bill married his wife Kimberly, whom he met at Asbury College and is currently the Children's Pastor here at Aldersgate, in October 2004. In July of 2005, Bill came back home to be the High School Youth Pastor and College-Aged/Young Adults Pastor. It is his mission to see youth, parents, and young adults enter into a real, authentic, and contagious faith in Jesus Christ by providing a solid foundation thru a Biblical and relational ministry. Kimberly Weaver graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY with a degree in Christian Ministries. She has spent several summers working with missionaries and their Children Ministry programs in Jamaica and Kenya as well as several states within the United States. After graduating from college, she became the Work Team Coordinator for World Gospel Mission, sending over 500 people on short-term mission trips to over 15 countries. Kimberly moved to North Carolina in 2004 to become a teacher at a local Christian daycare and, more importantly, marry Bill! Shortly after he was hired as the High School and Young Adult pastor, Kimberly joined the Aldersgate staff as the Director of Children Ministries. Her desire is to help children grow in Christ’s love as well as aid parents in teaching their children more about having an exciting faith in God.
