White Picket Fences: A Series On Family Life
Join us this April for our new series on family life. White Picket Fences represents the stereotypical image of the nuclear family, which emanated from the 1950s in the United States. Dad, Mom, two children, dog, house with a white picket fence. Idyllic, peaceful, ideal. But not the reality of living for most people. What is an “ideal” household? What is a “normal” household? What is “success” when it comes to family? This worship series will explore these questions and more, seeking to learn from God’s Word how we are to live in households and close relationships in an imperfect world. The ideal is what we strive for, and it may or may not include white picket fences.
